I just have a minute but I wanted to post about our Easter craft. I thought maybe this would be a fun idea for Earth day which is coming up on April 22nd. Hope someone else tries this upcycled tin can planter!

I decided since we were celebrating Easter with our good friends, John & Lindsay and their son Aaron, we needed a fun craft to do!
I started with two empty cans and punched holes in the bottom using a hammer and a nail driver:
Then I cut wood pieces (that I found lying around in my craft stuff) to the height of the cans and glued them on:
Then the boys got to paint. We used soy based paint:
While the paint dried, we had an Easter Egg hunt:
After the fun, we put a layer of rocks in the bottom of our planter, some soil and transplanted our basil in our new upcycled tin planters:
And the finished product:
What a fun spring craft! I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter.
